Valérie was Chief Economist for several financial institutions in France and abroad. She is a member of the Board of Directors, at Conservateur Finance, a mutual insurance company headquartered in Paris, where she also serves as senior economic advisor. Valérie currently chairs the Société d’Economie Politique (France), and is a member of the scientific committee of the Foundation Robert Schumann. Currently, she is serving a five-year term as a member of the High Council of Public Finances in charge of “examining the soundness of the macroeconomic forecast and potential growth estimates, on which draft finance laws are based”. From 2006 to 2011 Valérie served on the Conseil d’Analyse Economique (“Wise Men”) to the French Prime Minister. Valérie speaks English, French and Japanese, and appears regularly in financial media. She is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, HEC Paris, the Institut des Langues Orientales (Japanese Studies, Paris) and Keio University in Tokyo.
